So you’re engaged.. Now what?

Set a date and choose a venue.  I usually then suggest locking in your favourite photographer, then get in touch with me and hopefully I’m available!   It’s hard to believe that some dates during the popular months book out up to 18 months in advance.  So it’s best to get in quick. As your celebrant, think of me as your party starter! I set the tone for your wedding day, making sure your ceremony best represents you as a couple.

Ok.. we are keen for you to marry us.  How do we make it happen?

Get in touch..

If after stalking my website and socials you think I’m the right celebrant to best tell your love story get in touch and I can let you know if I’m free on your wedding date. I’ll also provide you with a quote and proposal so you can see exactly what you can expect from me. If you want to ask more questions you can book a time for a 20 minute obligation free Facetime/ Zoom chat.

Let’s lock in the date!

Once you’ve decided you’d like to book me a non-refundable booking fee of $300 is required to secure your date, which is deducted from your final total.

You’ll then receive a copy of my “Designing a Wedding Ceremony” booklet filled with lots of inspiration!

Let’s fill out some paperwork..

The “Notice of Intended Marriage” form needs to be completed at least a month before your wedding date, but it’s always best to get it done as soon as we can.  I’ll need to sight just your passport or your birth certificate and another form of photo ID.  Your signatures on the NOIM then need to be witnessed.  I can do this as a Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant.  This documentation stays with me and I use it to lodge all the other required paperwork with the office of Births, Deaths and Marriages in the state your venue is located to ensure your marriage is legal.

Let’s catch up in person..

When you’re ready, let’s meet up over a coffee, wine or even ice-cream so we can chat about about exactly how you envisage your ceremony. I’ll then write the script and deliver it to you for approval at least a month before your wedding. You are free to make any changes. I’ll also help you write your vows!

Let’s make it official.

I’ll liaise with your wedding planner/ venue co-ordinator in the lead up to your wedding day to ensure I’m across everything I need to know.  I’ll let them know I’ll turn up at least an hour before your ceremony with my PA, if it’s required.

On the day you’ll both sign an official marriage certificate as well as a copy of it and your commemorative marriage certificate.  The paperwork will need to be signed by 2 witnesses (who can be anyone over the age of 18!).

I lodge the paperwork and when it’s registered you are legally married! Congratulations!
